sMitten

I’ve completed one of the Norwegian Mitts, I finished it about a week ago, started the second mitt and then ran out of yarn. This meant that not only did I need to spin more but I needed to card together some more fibre (since it’s a mix of some dyed merino and alpaca). Of course the drum carder was being used for white merino and I couldn’t be bothered cleaning it off so the whole project ground to a halt. I’m a woman who is easily dissuaded it seems. Anyway, I have now produced more dark yarn and continue progress on the second mitten (I have this horrible feeling I’m going to need more light yarn too, but I’m going to ignore this feeling until I have empirical evidence at hand).

Anyway, some progress shots:
Norwegian Mitts (right) back of hand.

Norwegian Mitts (right) palm.

Norwegian mitt, right hand.

It’s quite difficult to take pictures of your own right hand when you are in fact right-handed.
Given that it’s at least 25°C outside, I’m in no practical need of these mitts for quite some time.
